About this item

• ABSORBS EVERYDAY DISH MOISTURE: Porous diatom stone surface draws in incidental water from hand-washed dishes, glasses, and cookware, then lets it evaporate as the mat air-dries, giving you a quick-drying spot beside the sink without a damp towel
• LARGE 24" x 15" DRYING AREA: Measuring 23.62" x 15.35", the footprint gives multiple plates, glasses, utensils, and cookware room to dry at once. This is a full-size drying mat, not a compact pad, so measure your counter space before purchasing
• NATURAL MINERAL CONSTRUCTION: Made from fossilized algae and natural minerals, this firm diatom stone drying pad is a structured alternative to microfiber mats and tea towels. Place delicate glassware carefully on the hard surface
• SLIM 0.35" LOW-PROFILE DESIGN: Creates a broad drying surface without the height of a traditional dish rack, keeping the sink area streamlined and organized if you prefer a tidier countertop look over a bulky drainer
• SIMPLE HAND-WASH CARE: Rinse under running water, wipe with a damp sponge, and air-dry in a well-ventilated area. Gently sand stubborn stains or buildup. Not dishwasher safe; avoid heavy or harsh cleaners

Description

The Cuisinart Diatom Stone Dish Dry Mat is a large dish drying mat for the kitchen counter, designed to give hand-washed dishes, glasses, and cookware a dedicated drying zone beside the sink. It is a tidier, more structured alternative to a fabric drying mat or tea towel for everyday use in busy households. The porous diatom stone surface, made from fossilized algae and natural minerals, absorbs incidental moisture from wet dishes and allows it to evaporate as the mat air-dries. As part of normal care, periodically lift the mat to check the counter underneath and let both the mat and the countertop dry fully. The mat measures 23.62"" L x 15.35"" W x 0.35"" D and weighs approximately 4.41 lb. It is a full-size drying surface rather than a compact pad, so measure your available counter space before purchasing. The slim profile creates a broad drying area without the height of a raised dish rack. This is a firm, mineral-based surface, not soft or cushioned like microfiber. Set delicate glassware down carefully rather than placing items forcefully. Care is straightforward: rinse under running water, wipe with a damp sponge to remove debris, and air-dry in a well-ventilated area. For stubborn stains or buildup, gently use sandpaper to refresh the surface. The mat is hand wash only and not dishwasher safe. Avoid heavy or harsh cleaners.
